This is exactly what a fan of Craig Ferguson can expect: a lot of shameless information delivered in the most entertaining Craig Ferguson way possible. But in a book this time so using written words - three of which I had to research in a dictionary - Mr. Ferguson has a clear speech and a tendency to complete coherent sentences in life and in this book, too.It is doubtlessly an inspiring work and I thank Craig Ferguson for doing it - probably for himself - but for sharing it with me. I enjoyed every page.

In Deutschland ist Craig Ferguson wahrscheinlich nicht allzu bekannt. In den USA ist er seit 6 Jahren Host der "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson". Das Programm stellt meiner Meinung alle anderen Late Shows in den Schatten. Ferguson hat nicht nur sehr viel Humor und weiß diesen auch einzusetzen, sondern hat ebenfalls ein sehr aufregendes und turbulentes Leben hinter sich.Dieses Leben wird in seiner Autobiographie sehr humorvoll und wie es scheint sehr ehrlich dargestellt. Man lernt den richtigen Ferguson kennen und ist überrascht und bewegt, was er alles durchgemacht hat. Zudem geht er Themen auch mit einer notwendigen Ernsthaftigkeit an. Hier kann der Leser erkennen, was für ein kluger Mensch Ferguson eigentlich ist. Dies würde man von einem Late Night Host vielleicht nicht erwarten und auch hier übertrifft er erneute seine Konkurrenz.Besonders berührt hat mich das Ende, bzw. die letzte Seite, die voller Weisheiten steckt, die sich ein jeder zu Herzen nehmen sollte.
War sehr interessant mehr über Craigs hintergrund zu erfahren...das buch an sich ist ein wenig wie eine geschichte und ich denke das auch nicht alles 100% wahr ist... aber näher kommt man wohl nicht ran :P
You don't need to know who Craig Ferguson is in order to enjoy this book, but it certainly makes the reading and the jokes all the more enjoyable if you picture his crooked smile and creepy laugh.The writing is genius, mixing tragedy with laughter, and irony with hope.Thank you Craig for sharing your story.
Ich habe mir das Buch gekauft, da ich seine ( leider nur noch bis Jahresende laufende) Late Late Show extrem unterhaltend finde.Das Buch steht dem in Nichts nach. Es ist authentisch geschrieben, stets humorvoll und angenehm leicht zu lesen. Da das Buch chronologisch, unterteilt in kleine Geschichten aufgebaut ist, kann man es getrost immer mal wieder für eine Weile hinten anstellen, ohne Angst zu haben dabei den Zusammenhang zu verlieren.Fazit: Gute Unterhaltung für Zwischendurch
